Indian rice with Golden Milk Chaï

Looking for a quick and different healthy meal? Here is a perfect option for a weeknight: Indian-style rice with Golden Milk Chaï made in no time. Your weekday meal elevated to a whole new dimension!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Basmati rice
  • 4 cups - Water
  • 2 tbsp. soup - Golden Milk Chaï
  • 1 C. tablespoons - Coconut oil
  • Pinch - Salt
  • 1 cup - Frozen green peas
  • 1/2 - Sliced onion
  • 1 cup - Cauliflower in small florets
  • 1 C. tablespoons - Coconut oil
  • 1 cup - Roasted cashew nuts
  • 1/2 cup - Chopped fresh cilantro
  • 8 slices - Grilled Haloumi cheese (optional)
  • 4 tbsp. tablespoons - Greek yogurt (optional)

Preparation

  1. In a pot, combine the rice, water, Chaï Lait Doré, coconut oil and salt. Bring to a boil and cook over low heat for about 15 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, in a skillet, sauté the onion in coconut oil for 5 minutes. Add the cauliflower, cook over low heat for 5 minutes. Add the green peas, cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the preparation to the cooked rice.
  4. Serve the rice and garnish with cashews and fresh cilantro. Add the grilled Haloumi cheese and Greek yogurt (optional).
